A really unique read. Terse, to the point, curious, intriguing. I wanted to keep reading. It wasn’t so much a detective type novel, but the setting was really interesting and Ms. Knecht drew me into Argentina in the 60s. I wanted to know Vera Kelly. I think we did, to some extent, but I wanted to know more. At times, the book danced on the edges of things, never really taking you inside to the guts of the thing. But there is a unique style here, dry and linear. Worth reading for sure.
