The Weight of Ink by Rachel Kadish
I loved this book. It is a piece of historical fiction with a twist. It connects characters between ages; 1500s and current time. They are connected on themes of love and the place of women in society, then and now. Ms. Kadish has created memorable characters and an engaging mystery. Strong yet conflicted men and women. She does not disappoint with her ending. I must admit, there were some portions of the book that dragged on a bit too long for me, and did not have great relevance to moving the key elements of the story forward. But it is a great read and well worth the turning of each page. A huge accomplishment.
