Autumn is beautiful. The way the leaves change colour is astounding and I marvel each and every year. It is a fall day when Kevin, a character in my novel Primrose Street, is raking the leaves in his front yard. People are walking by on the sidewalk, all heading to the church up the road. Some stop and talk to Kevin, but he stays focussed on his task, not looking up or acknowledging their presence. He keeps raking, they keep walking. The church bells ring, calling, beckoning. But it is not Sunday. I won’t say much more. Don’t want to spoil it for you. Primrose Street is available at Amazon as you read this, and in most bookstores by Oct. 30, 2018. Let me know what you think of Kevin raking his leaves. Would you do the same thing?
